A. What was unique about the setting of the book, and how did it enhance or take away from the story?
The setting of my book, "I,Q", was unique in the fact that it took place in several different locations in the United States.
This allowed for many unique things to happen. The key event of Angela meeting her real mother, took place in Philadelphia. This one event led to a string of events, that lead into the sequel.
The first place in the book was San Francisco. The key event here was when Angela's father, Roger, and Q's mother, Blaze, are married. They then take off on a tour for their new band, Match. In Philadelphia, Eben captures Angela and Q, and gave Q a nasty cut to the neck. While in Philadelphia, after this predicament, Angela meets her mother. Her mother, Malak, sends the family off to Washington D.C., to meet the president. This then leads off into the next book in the series.
Having multiple settings helped enhance the book in so many ways. Namely, it allowed for many different things to happen in this one book, and for many new people to show up and be woven into the plot. I enjoyed reading "I, Q" and getting to read about all the places it took place in.
